Restraint: Horse, zebras and asses are potential kickers, biters and strikers. Wild horses are more violent kickers than domestic horses. Many devices such as lip chains, rope halters etc. are normally used for controlling of domestic horses.
Housing and management: The size of a cubicle for wild ass is 4.0 m x 2.0 m x 2.5 m. Another 1500 sq m area is required as outdoor enclosure. Compatible animals may be kept together in captivity. However, a single stall is best suited for an individual animal. The enclosure may be surrounded by a strong brick wall (about three feet height) with strong iron fencing (about two feet).
